Founder and CEO of AltMat, a company that solves the dual problem of
agriculture waste and textile materials pollution. Their key technology
transforms agricultural waste into
sustainable biomaterials for industries like textiles and packaging. The
company has successfully scaled from lab to pilot to commercial scale
production in the last two years and has been supported by brands globally
across the globe in its efforts.
Shikha has graduated with meritorious performance in Business
and Entrepreneurship for colleges like Babson and has experience ranging from
working in family businesses, start-ups from America, Europe and India, NGO,
Chairman’s team at an MNC to founding her own company. She strives to weave
impact and profits together believing that goodness scales well and for long
with conscious economic models.
She has been
facilitated in presence of The President of India for her work in Innovation
and has been the youngest to receive a Women Transforming India Award by Niti
Ayog and United nations. She has been conferred Rajeev Circle Fellowship, Atal
Innovation Medal, Beta Gamma Sigma award, GUSEC fellowship etc. Her company
AltMat is supported by Fashion for Good with founding members like Adidas, PVH,
Bestsellers etc., is the top 12 companies for Microfibre Challenge, is the
global winner of Circular Fashion Innovation, member of Textile Exchange etc.
Her work has represented Indian Innovation on multiple global stages.
