Chandrakant Kumbhani is the Chief Operating Officer - Community Development Programs at Ambuja Cement Foundation. He has over 27 years of experience in the rural development sector and has been working with ACF for the past 18 years. He has contributed to strategic partnerships for growth and expansion of ACF's community development programs in the areas of water, agriculture-based livelihoods, community health and women empowerment. He is a graduate in Agricultural Engineering from Gujarat Agriculture University, Junagadh and holds a diploma in Sustainability from the Swedish Institute Management Programme on Sustainability. Chandrakant is a member of various governing councils and institutes. He is a member of the governing board of coastal salinity prevention cell and Sajjata Sangh – a network of NGOs in Gujarat and was a member of the CII-Gujarat CSR panel, FICCI water mission and a member of the governing councils representing civil society in the multi-stakeholder initiative - Better Cotton.
