Satyaki Ghosh has over 27 years of experience in FMCG, Retail and
Industrial Business. He joined Aditya Birla Group in December’16. In his role
of CEO – Domestic Textiles, he is responsible for the Textile Business of
Aditya Birla Group spanning across Jaya Shree Textiles (under the brand “Linen
Club”), Vikram Woolens, and Grasim Premium Fabric (Brand-Soktas). Under his
leadership, Domestic Textiles (DT) has witnessed major breakthroughs including
the settlement of worker’s long-term agreement, release of working capital,
acquisition of Premium Cotton Business (currently known as ‘Grasim Premium
Fabrics’), launch of the brand Cavallo Studio, a pioneering initiative that
embraces the innovative "wealth out of waste" concept. He also led
India’s textile industry for proposing Anti-Dumping Duty, which got accepted by
the Government which safeguards the interests of the local textile
manufacturers. Furthermore, under his leadership and guidance, the Anti-Dumping
Duty was successfully renewed for a second time. Known for agility and amiable
demeanor he has been influential in DT’s path to being a customer-oriented
organization and sustaining culture of values and transparency.
Prior to joining ABG, he was in a Global role in L’Oreal S.A. based in
Paris HQ. Before that, he was the Director of Consumer Products Division at L’Oreal India and he has steered the division towards spectacular
successes in the Indian market as well as the export business in South Asian
Countries.
He has also worked for some of the biggest names in FMCG including
General Electric, PepsiCo & Spencer’s Retail and his experience cuts across
Consumer & Retail Businesses in diverse geographies.
His expertise and knowledge of the Advertising, Sales & Marketing
field has made him an acknowledged thought leader in the industry.
