Mr. Akhilesh Kumar belongs to 2006 batch of Indian Statistical Service. He is currently working as a Deputy Director General @ Ministry of Textiles. He has more than 17 years of experience in data management, statistical analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation of schemes/programme. Prior joining to Ministry of Textiles, he worked for various organizations: As a Director @ NITI Aayog, as a Joint Director @ National Statistical Office; As a Chief Statistical Officer at National Crime Record Bureau; As a Assistant Director @ National Sample Survey Office. Mr. Akhilesh Kumar applies his technical expertise in R&D planning, Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Data Analysis. He authored some research papers devoted to Data Analysis and Public Policy. He has been awarded national awards for his contributions for improvement in robust monitoring system in India.
