Mr. Mohamed Kasem  has more 40 years of international experience. He is presently the Vice President of the African Cotton and Textile Industries Federation(ACTIF)- a pan African organization promoting regional cooperation. He is on the board of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF).

Before pursuing business opportunities in the private sector, Mr. Mohamed Kasem had a Foreign Service career spanning 15 years. His last post was a Commercial Councilor in the Egyptian Embassy in Washington D.C. from 1985-1989.

Mr.Kasem is presently Chairman & CEO of World Trading Company –Egypt, a major textiles and apparel sourcing organization.

He has been playing an active role in the organized private sector in Egypt. He served as a Chair for Garments Export Council and Vice Chairman of Egyptian National Council of Textile during 2012-17. He has been on the board of several trade bodies such as Egyptian Council on Foreign Affairs, American Chamber of Commerce of Egypt, Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI),Egyptian Exporters Association,etc.
